Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Oklahoma is one of five states with an uninsured rate of 13 percent or more in 2015. In 2010, Oklahoma had the third highest death rate for heart disease in the nation. Heart disease is Oklahoma’s leading killer for both men and women, resulting in more than 9,000 deaths in 2012. CURA for the world is partnering with Walgreens to create a fund for our elderly patients in the Tulsa community that cannot afford to buy heart failure medications. On average a yearly supply for heart failure medications could cost up to $150. Medications that have the potential for extending their lifespan, alleviate their symptoms and decrease the rate of yearly hospitalizations.

Art For The Heart is our vision to include local artists to donate their art work for our annual exhibit to raise money for our elderly patients with no financial means to buy life-saving medications.
